Accreditation Processes

Step 1: Application

An application form duly filled in, with quality manual, fee and supporting documents shall be submitted by the organization.

Step 2: Adequacy

Relevant documents sent to BAB is subject to check according to the appropriate standard by an expert (Lead Assessor).

Step 3: Pre-assessment

An initial review of the documentation and a feedback session between the organization and assessment team at site, with the consent of organization.

Step 4: Assessment

At site assessment(s) of compliance of the applicable standard (s), BAB requirements and other mandatory documents, encompassing quality systems and competence.

Step 5: Corrective Actions

Clearance of non-conformity/ non-compliance when the assessment team accepts the corrective actions put in place by the organization.

Step 6: Assessment report to Technical Committees (TCs)

The assessment team submits assessment reports to the respective technical Committee (TC). TC evaluates all the reports and recommends.

Step 7: Accreditation awarded

Accreditation is awarded to the organization with the recommendation of TC. The organization receives a certificate, the accreditation mark and scope of accreditation.

Step 8: Surveillance

A surveillance assessment performed annually to ensure continued compliance with the standards.

Step 9: Re-assessment

This is carried out every three years. All information received as part of the accreditation process is treated in the strictest confidence.
